But before we can celebrate great victories together, the bikes must first be developed. As a Performance Engineer with a focus on tyre performance, you play a key role in pushing our performance forward. You will work closely with various motorsport teams to collect, analyze, and present data from our road racing bikes – making you an essential part of our continuous development. THE TASKS AWAITING YOU

  • development of tyre models such as the Pacejka thermal tyre model and contact geometries
  • simulation and prediction of tyre performance depending on asphalt, weather and race duration
  • creating models to predict vehicle performance (e.g. sensitivity analysis)
  • validating simulation results against vehicle data
  • evaluating tyre-specific tests (flat track testing) and vehicle parameters to identify trends in vehicle performance
  • developing tyre-specific analysis tools
  • coordinating with different departments to synchronise simulation models
  • preparing tyre and driving dynamics simulations for strategy meetings and making recommendations for development, testing and racing strategies
  • creating performance reports for team management and external partners

HOW YOU CAN INSPIRE US

  • successfully completed technical education with a focus on automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or aeronautical engineering (university of applied sciences/technical university)
  • several years of professional experience in the field of tyre technology, vehicle dynamics, or performance analysis
  • in-depth technical knowledge of tire models (Pacejka, thermal model, contact patch), tyre technology (casing, rubber properties, grip, abrasion, etc.) and in-depth technical knowledge of driving dynamics modeling (single-track models, GG/yaw moment diagram)
  • fundamentals in data analysis, telemetry & sensor data analysis (e.g., IR cameras, pressure sensors, wear measurement)
  • software skills in Matlab/Python/Adams/Modelica or comparable
  • strong written and spoken English skills
  • active interest in motorcycles and motorsports
  • communicative and flexible personality with team spirit, organizational skills, and a hands-on mentality
  • analytical, creative, and solution-oriented thinking as well as a structured, methodical, and precise way of working
